Inspired by storytelling, crafted with problem solving.

My name is Abia (pronounced uh-bee-yuh)! I'm an Asian-American creative with a background in English literature.

My curiosities from an early age have always been in exploring works of art, whether that be paintings, photography, or literature — I strive to understand how artists develop their work and share their unique perspectives so that I can strengthen my own voice as an artist.

While studying English Literature, I developed an advanced observational and analytical skill set to formulate thorough research and develop comprehensive arguments of my own.

Upon graduating, I knew that I wanted to continue researching and exercise my passion for creating unique ways to tell a story. So I began my journey as a UX Designer at a bootcamp with Designlab where I committed 500+ hours to strengthening my problem solving and visual design skills.

My mindset is to be attentive to details and focused on intersecting business goals with users wants and needs. I believe that every choice is just as important as the next in building the next great product — whether that be interviewing, sketching, or preparing for handoff. I make sure no piece of the puzzle is left missing.

The work of a designer is constantly evolving so I'm excited to continue honing my eye for detail and confidently presenting my innovative solutions. Most importantly, I'm proud to be a voice in a field where unique perspectives matter most.
